This November, the Grand Ledge Area District Library (GLADL) invites the community to honor National American Indian Heritage Month with a special cultural event highlighting the traditions of Anishinaabe drumming. The presentation will be led by Mr. Daniel Jackson, a proud member of the Anishinaabe-Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, who will share the rich musical and spiritual history of Native American drumming.
🎵 Experience the Power of the Drum
Drumming has always been central to Native American culture — a heartbeat connecting people, nature, and spirit. During this engaging program, attendees will learn about the meaning behind traditional drum songs, their role in ceremonies, and how rhythm is used to bring communities together.
