Shawn Foster had a night to remember. The Grand Ledge senior quarterback lit up the field last Friday in a wild 56-49 win over DeWitt. With just 51 seconds left on the clock, Foster ran 75 yards for the game-winning touchdown. It was his seventh touchdown of the night! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Foster finished the game with 396 rushing yards on 27 carries. Thatโ€™s not only a school recordโ€”itโ€™s a family record too. His dad, also named Shawn Foster, was a star at Lansing Sexton back in the 1990s and played at Michigan State. Now itโ€™s his sonโ€™s turn to shine. ๐ŸŒŸ

The game was huge for Grand Ledge. This was the Cometsโ€™ first win over DeWitt since 2016. The victory moved Grand Ledge to a 5-1 record on the season and gave the team a big boost in league play.

Fosterโ€™s seven rushing touchdowns tied for the third-most ever in one game in Michigan high school football history, according to the MHSAA.

Even betterโ€”heโ€™s not done yet. Foster is already committed to play college football at Grand Valley State University, where heโ€™ll keep chasing big plays and even bigger dreams.

๐Ÿ‘ Way to go, Shawn. Grand Ledge is proud of you!
