Despite a determined performance, the Comets fell short as East Kentwood’s standout receiver Stephan Jones delivered the decisive play that sealed the Falcons’ victory.

With momentum swinging both ways, East Kentwood executed a perfectly timed fake reverse that caught the Comet defense off guard. Quarterback Kayd Koffman, a Mr. Football candidate, sold the play-action and launched a deep pass to Jones.
