Moving During the Holidays: What You Need to Know 🎄📦
Moving during the holidays can be exciting, but it also comes with a few extra challenges to keep in mind. Winter weather in Michigan can change fast, so plan for snow, icy sidewalks, and slower travel times. Make sure your walkways and driveways are cleared before movers arrive to keep everyone safe.
Holiday schedules can also affect availability. Movers, utility companies, and cleaners often book up quickly or close early, so schedule everything as far ahead as possible. Pack a “holiday essentials bag” with warm clothes, snacks, chargers, and anything you’ll need before your boxes are unpacked.
Finally, remember that traffic is heavier this time of year, especially near shopping areas and events. Give yourself extra time and be patient with delays. With a little planning, your holiday move can stay merry instead of messy! 🎁

Grand Ledge’s Logan Tollison Signs With Michigan State 🥇
At a signing ceremony on Monday, Nov. 17, senior Logan Tollison of Grand Ledge High School committed to continue his wrestling and academic career at Michigan State University (MSU).
Tollison enters the program riding a stellar high-school career. As a junior he captured the Division I state title at 285 lbs, finishing his season undefeated — and currently carries a 45-match winning streak into his senior year. He also boasts well over 100 career wins and was the first Grand Ledge wrestler ever to earn All-American honors at the Super 32 tournament.
The decision to stay close to home played a major role in his choice to sign with MSU. “They showed a lot of interest in me,” Tollison said, adding that competing in the Big Ten — one of the toughest wrestling conferences in the country — excited him.
This move is a proud moment for the Grand Ledge community and the Comets wrestling program. Supporters are eager to track Tollison’s progress as he steps into a bigger arena and brings hometown grit to East Lansing.

LOCAL PETS BROUGHT TO YOU BY DIDDY’S POOPIN SCOOPIN
WEEBLES

Met a sweet senior girl waiting patiently for her second chance at the Capital Area Humane Society. At 9 years old, this beautiful black Domestic Shorthair still has plenty of love to give. Calm, gentle, and easy to please, she’s the kind of cat who just wants a quiet home, a soft blanket, and someone who enjoys slow mornings and cozy evenings. She’s medium-sized, bright-eyed, and currently relaxing in Suite 6, hoping the next person who stops by will be the one who finally takes her home.
BOOMER

Boomer is an 8-year-old brown-and-white gentleman now settling in at the Capital Area Humane Society after a big change in his life. This medium-sized mixed-breed pup is a little nervous at first, but there’s a sweetness in his eyes that tells you he’s ready to trust again. As he relaxes, his gentle personality is starting to shine, and he shows every sign of becoming a loving companion in the right home. Boomer could thrive with a patient family, possibly with kids or even another friendly dog. He’s neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated — now all he needs is someone willing to give him the calm, steady home he deserves. You can meet him in Dog Runs–Main Street.
Looking to have a clean and order-free yard and home. Call the experts at Diddy’s Poopin Scoopin. They're booking up right now for the Spring season.
