Grand Ledge is getting ready for the holidays, and today, Bridge Street Plaza was buzzing with early seasonal excitement.

City workers spent the morning carefully raising and decorating the big evergreen tree that will soon become the centerpiece of downtown’s Christmas celebrations.

With blue skies overhead and a crisp November breeze, crews used lift trucks and safety gear to reach every branch of the tall tree standing proudly in the plaza.

From hanging the lights to checking each section of the tree, the workers moved slowly and safely to make sure everything was secure.

Their bright safety jackets and hard hats stood out as they worked high above the sidewalk, bringing a festive touch to the familiar plaza.

If you walked by today, you might have seen lift buckets rising above the “Bridge Street Plaza” sign, workers threading lights across the branches, and the tree slowly coming to life.

This tree will soon shine over downtown Grand Ledge, bringing warmth, color, and holiday cheer to everyone visiting the area throughout the season.

The decorating is still underway, but once complete, the tree will stand as a bright symbol of the community coming together — a yearly tradition that marks the start of holiday fun for families, friends, and neighbors across town.

Stay tuned, because this is only the beginning of what’s planned for Grand Ledge this holiday season. 🎅🌟
