The City of Grand Ledge has shared some exciting news this week — the brand-new ADA Playground at Jaycee Park is officially open for families to enjoy. 🎉
Even though the project is not completely finished, the city says the playground is ready for safe play right now, and neighbors are encouraged to come check out the new space.
This playground has been one of the most talked-about projects in town, and for good reason.
It’s designed to be fully accessible, giving every child — no matter their ability — a chance to play, explore, and have fun.
The bright, open layout includes smooth surfaces, wide ramps, and equipment made for children who need extra support.
It’s a major step toward making Grand Ledge a more inclusive community.
City officials shared that a full grand-opening celebration is coming.
The event will mark the “official” opening once all the final pieces are installed. They say it will be a big community moment, and one worth waiting for.
The grand opening will also feature the new Donor Wall, which will proudly display the names of people and groups who helped make this playground possible.
Right now, donations are still being accepted.
Anyone who gives $100 or more can have their name added to the Donor Wall before it is completed. The city says there is still time for families, businesses, and groups to be part of this important project. ❤️
