Good morning Ledgers! A rare crystal and diamond Fabergé egg crafted for Russia’s ruling family before it was toppled by revolution shattered records Tuesday as it sold at auction for 22.9 million pounds ($30.2 million).
Czar Nicholas II commissioned the egg for his mother, Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, as an Easter present in 1913. It was one of two eggs created by female designer Alma Pihl; her other egg is owned by Britain’s royal family.

Inspector Gadget Wanted: Grand Ledge Needs a Part-Time Neighborhood Hero
Grand Ledge is hiring a Part-Time Code Enforcement Inspector, and honestly?
This might be the most interesting "outdoor office" gig you didn't know you needed.
Think of it as getting paid to be the friendly neighborhood watchdog — minus the actual barking, plus a paycheck. 🏡🔍

Here's the thing: when nobody's watching, small problems throw ragers that turn into big disasters.
That leaning shed? Future lawsuit.
That trash pile? Future health hazard.
That mysterious zoning violation? Future neighborhood drama that'll make Real Housewives look like Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.
Grand Ledge is growing faster than a Chia Pet on steroids, and without enough eyes on the ground, things can go sideways quicker than you can say "property values."
We need someone who cares enough to keep our town from looking like it's auditioning for a "before" photo on HGTV.
Want the full scoop on how you can become Grand Ledge's Leslie Knope of code enforcement (clipboards instead of waffles, but still awesome)?
We've got all the details — requirements, perks, why this part-time role is perfect for retirees, parents, or anyone with a flexible schedule, and how to apply before someone else snatches this gig.
Because Grand Ledge's next chapter needs YOU holding the pen. Or, you know, the clipboard. 📋✨
Believers Church Craft Show Draws Enthusiastic Crowds
The Grand Ledge Opera House was packed last Saturday as the Believers Church hosted their annual Women's Luncheon and craft show.

With about 15 artisan vendors showcasing everything from stained glass ornaments to crocheted goods, the event proved to be a hit with the community.
The standout star?
A first-time vendor selling beef tallow products who had lines of eager customers throughout the day.
The combination of upstairs luncheon and downstairs craft show created the perfect flow of foot traffic, keeping vendors busy from 9am to 2pm.
The Ledge Ledger was there with a table promoting Mr. BigStuff Labor and Moving while soaking in all the small-town charm and entrepreneurial energy.

A: Because it was two-tired! 🚲😂
Thank you for reading The Ledge Ledger. Pass this on to someone that you know that would be most likely to commission a fancy egg.
