A new era of healthcare has arrived in Eaton County. McLaren Greater Lansing officially completed the phased opening of McLaren Grand Ledge, a brand-new $40 million medical campus in Delta Township. The final phase was completed at 7 a.m. on October 20, 2025, when the facility’s freestanding emergency department became fully operational and began accepting its first patients. 🚑
Located along Saginaw Highway just west of Nixon Road, this new facility significantly expands access to high-quality and timely medical care for both Delta Township and Grand Ledge communities. The emergency department features 17 beds and a complete suite of diagnostic imaging services, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT scans, and even a mobile MRI.
McLaren Grand Ledge first opened its doors on October 6, introducing primary care and specialty clinics with rotating specialists in cardiology and general surgery, plus an on-site lab draw station.
“This marks the completion of a major milestone in our mission to bring high-quality, accessible care closer to home,” said Chad Grant, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of McLaren Health Care. “With the opening of the Township’s first emergency department, we’re fulfilling our commitment to provide compassionate, dignified care when and where patients need it most.”
Construction for McLaren Grand Ledge began in June 2024, following strong community support and local leadership backing. The finished 33,680-square-foot facility represents a major investment in local healthcare infrastructure.
Looking ahead, McLaren plans to continue expanding services, including future cancer care from the Karmanos Cancer Network, part of the world-renowned Karmanos Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.
