McLaren Health has officially opened a brand-new medical center in Grand Ledge, bringing much-needed care closer to home. The facility, located on the city’s growing west side, already houses a full primary care clinic with four physicians accepting new patients.
Starting October 20, the site will expand to include a 24-hour emergency department, filling a critical gap for residents who previously had to drive to Lansing or Charlotte for urgent care

The new ER will feature private exam rooms, on-site imaging, lab testing, and specialized trauma bays equipped to handle serious emergencies like car accidents and heart attacks.
“This is going to save time — and saving time saves lives,” said Austin Holcomb with McLaren Corporate.
For families in Grand Ledge, Delta Township, and West Lansing, the new facility means faster access to doctors, less travel stress, and more peace of mind.
The opening marks a big milestone in local healthcare — especially for seniors, parents, and workers who call Grand Ledge home.
